4. President’s Comments

A. Koffee Klatch Cashier
Bob Fore informed members that Jan Fackler has resigned as Cashier for Koffee Klatch after 13 years of serving in this role and thanked her for her loyal service. Jacqueline Nelson has accepted to take over these duties starting today.
​
B. Clubhouse Computer
Jan Fackler has generously donated a computer for use in the clubhouse and it is up and running. Bob Fore asked people to please turn off all the lights before leaving the clubhouse.
​
5. Vice-President’s Comments
A. Scheduling: Marilyn Rhodes reminded members to fill in the form when requesting use of the clubhouse and to give it to her.
B. Membership Drive: People will be going house to house to complete the membership drive.
C. Midwest Night: Was a success with 275 people in attendance.
​
6. Treasurer’s Report
Bob Schmidt presented the financial report as of December 31, 2017. He added that the Choraliers and Village Choir funds will be used or saved as directed by the groups’ managers.

7. Clubhouse:
Kitchen: The cost to replace the freezer was approximately $1300 and we received $500 in contributions and we would appreciate more contributions from clubs. Bob Fore informed members that the kitchen rewiring is being investigated.
Dressing Rooms: The installation of the new cabinets is now complete thanks to Bruce Haines.
Men’s Restroom: Bob Fore thanked the LRV Board of Directors for the installation of the towel dispenser in the men’s area.

8. Social Club Board Nominations:
Marilyn Mackie reported on the following nominations for the 2018 Social Club Executive Board. President: Bob Fore; Vice-President: Pam Powers and depending on the outcome of the LRV Board elections, Marilyn Rhodes; Treasurer: Bob Schmidt; Secretary: Michelle Villeneuve; Directors: Steve Taylor, Valda Acker and Steve Mark. Any member of the Social Club can serve on the Executive Board. However the President must have been in the Social Club for the previous 2 years. Further to a request by Bob Fore there were no nominations from the floor.

9. Revised By-laws: A document outlining the proposed changes to the By-laws was presented. All proposed changes are financial in nature. The document is posted on the Social Club Bulletin board and on the Social Club website.
​
10. Arts and crafts Show: Cathy Caputo reported on the great success of the show and thanked everyone involved.
​
11. Karaoke Night: Mike Mikolayek reported that 220 people attended this event and a great time was had by all.
​
12. Clubhouse Sale: Barb Swearingen reported on the Clubhouse sale on February 17 indicating that it was a success. She did however request a new chairperson for this event.
13. Club Comments: Chris Nichols requested clarification on the $900 from Michigan Night last year indicating that it does not appear on the financial report. It was suggested that donations always be reported and noted on the financial report. Bob Schmidt and Steve Taylor will look into this and report back.

14. New Business: Bob Fore thanked the LRV Board of Directors for paying for the counter top in the kitchen.

15. Adjournment: Adjournment was proposed by Lee Merriman and seconded by Mike Mikolayek.
